Average
Your estimated risk is comparable to the average for your age and sex.
Both are 10-year risk estimates from the same model — the average uses SEER baseline incidence with no personal risk factors applied.
Questions to bring to your next appointment
- Based on my risk factors, am I due for a colonoscopy or other screening sooner than the standard schedule?
- Does my family history warrant earlier or more frequent screening for me or my relatives?
- Which of my risk factors here are the most worth changing first?
Freedman et al. 2009 model, white men/women age 50+ — informational only, not a clinical risk assessment.
How this is calculated
Implements Freedman et al. 2009: risk-factor odds ratios scale SEER baseline incidence for each colorectal site (proximal, distal, rectal), summed over the projection window. Two documented simplifications: one interaction term is treated as independent main effects, and competing mortality is omitted.
